The scripting skills of a tester should not limit their testing ability. Today, most software testers are fragmented across the industry based on the scripting language they use. One’s scripting skills often become a barrier to their automation and testing capabilities.

However, if one systematically leverages Gen AI, a lot of the human scripting work can be moved to AI tools and assistants with some minor human assistance. I will be sharing my own experiences of leveraging Gen AI for scripting tasks and how it boosted our overall efficiency. I will also share actionable strategies to make your work productive, efficient, and more importantly, testing-focused rather than scripting-focused.

Testers who learn to use AI for efficient scripting will have an advantage over others who do not. Many testers and automation engineers do scripting work as a major part of their day-to-day work. It could be for:
